September 18, 2007
Studies suggest that between July, 2000 and July, 2007 Internet users increased worldwide by over 3 times from approximately 360 million to 1.1 billion users, and increased in North America by over 2 times from approximately 110 to 235 million users (Source: Internet World Stats). This suggests that at July, 2007 approximately 17% of the current world population of some 6.6 billion people were Internet users, and that approximately 70% of North Americans were Internet Users. Prior to developing StockResearchDD.com, we were given a private study that suggested that in late 2005 approximately 50% of all retail stock market investors did at least some stock research on the Internet, and that the number of investors doing this was growing each year by between 1 - 2%.

Unique New Web Site
September 17, 2007
The StockResearchDD.com web site is independent of the Companies whose data is embedded in the website, the Investment Banks referenced in the website, and the data providers to the web site. It is a subscriber based Research & Due Diligence – not a ‘Stock Recommendation’ - web site. It includes ready reference to macro-economic country and industry reports. Selected Companies participate in the Canadian Junior Mining, Oil & Gas and Oil & Gas Service Industries. They also include Oil & Gas Income Trusts. The over 250 Selected Companies are screened from a population of approximately 1,750 companies pursuant to pre-determined balance sheet and market capitalization screens. Mining Industry companies are segregated and compared by principal mineral type, principal activity (explorer/producer) and by principal geographic area of activity. Oil & Gas Companies are segregated between those considered ‘Oily’ and those considered ‘Gassy’ based on production volumes. They too are segregated and compared geographically. Posts discussing actual web site content currently are expected to appear in this Blog beginning in early October. Readers are invited to comment on their investment interest in precious and base metals and Oil & Gas equities, if so why, and if not ‘why not’. Comments with respect to whether readers see these areas of investment to be of increasing interest going forward are particularly welcome.
