StockResearchDD.com Now Live
December 3, 2007
We are happy to announce the launch of StockResearchDD.com today (December 3rd, 2007).
This new website is a focused and comprehensive data source that enables users to research investment ideas in the Canadian Small Cap Mining and Oil & Gas Sectors. Its sole purpose is to enable subscribers to conduct systematic and efficient research & due diligence in these industry sectors. While generally viewed as high risk from an investment point of view, these industry sectors are believed to be highly relevant in the context of current globalization and macro-economic conditions. Importantly, those who pay the modest subscription price get immediate access to information that they cannot readily recreate and hence save significant research time in the process.
StockResearchDD.com targets retail and institutional investors who research investment ideas on the Internet, as well as Investment Advisors and Securities Analysts. It provides consistently formatted research and due diligence data for over 250 pre-screened companies that trade on the Toronto and Venture Exchanges. It is structured to enable comparison of companies by industry sector, principal activity, and geography. There are twenty-five consistently formatted data components for each company – including important components not found elsewhere easily. Additionally, other data components enable timely and efficient access to Economic and Industry research.
StockResearchDD.com is transparent and independent, and neither receives income from the companies whose data is embedded in it nor from ‘banner’ or other advertisements. Importantly, it is a ‘pure’ source for research and due diligence data, and does not make stock recommendations.
We invite you to participate in our $9.95 one month trial offer, and to become part of our StockResearchDD.com community. The website can be found at: http://www.stockresearchdd.com .

The following 6 companies were recently added to the Company List:
Aura Minerals Inc. (TSX:ORA - Gold), Eagle Plains Resources Ltd. (CNDX:EPL - Base Metals), Highpine Oil & Gas Limited (TSX:HPX - Gas), Iteration Energy Ltd. (TSX:ITX - Gas), Nuinsco Resources Ltd. (TSX:NWI - Uranium), Tournigan Gold Corp. (CNDX:TVC - Gold)
The Companies List currently includes 257 companies. Neither StockResearchDD.com nor Stock Research DD inc. (the website owner) receives compensation from the selected companies for including company data in the website.
The Companies whose names are set out in the ‘Company List’ referenced in this Blog are selected for inclusion in the StockResearchDD.com website pursuant to a process described in detail in the website. This process uses pre-established market capitalization and balance sheet metrics (the ‘Selection Criteria’) to mechanically (i.e. arithmetically) select Companies for inclusion from a larger population of companies. The selection process is objective and completely transparent. No company is included that does not meet the Selection Criteria, and no company that does meet the Selection Criteria is excluded unless a selected company specifically requests that it be excluded or refuses to allow StockResearchDD.com to reproduce select data from the company’s website.
The StockResearchDD.com website provides investors and their advisors with systematically organized Research and Due Diligence data. It does not make investment recommendations. Importantly, selection of a Company, and hence inclusion in StockResearchDD.com of a portion of its data is not to be taken to be a commentary on the investment merits, or lack of investment merits, of that Company. Similarly, because a company does not at a given point in time satisfy the Selection Criteria, this likewise is not to be taken to be a commentary on the investment merits, or lack of investment merits, of any such company.
It is our policy is that no reader comments, positive or negative, with respect to the companies listed in the Company List will be posted to this Blog.

streetTRACKS Gold ETF Holdings
November 5, 2007
Gold, having risen above US$800 per ounce on November 2, caused us to review the bullion holdings on deposit with streetTRACKS Gold ETF. The following chart shows those bullion holdings measured in millions of ounces to one decimal place at the end of each three month quarter beginning with October 31, 2006 and ending with November 2, 2007. We also show the percentage increase from October 31, 2006 at the end of each quarter end.
FusionCharts.
FusionCharts.
The increases in the quarter ended October 31, 2007 (depicted as November 2) and in the month of September are quite striking. While whether such increases continue remains to be seen, they do suggest marked increased interest in gold accumulation as a store of wealth.

StockResearchDD.com - Website Structure
October 22, 2007
The StockResearchDD.com website, about to launch, consistently presents identically formatted Research & Due Diligence components for each company whose data is embedded in the site. The result from a subscriber point of view can be likened to a person who wants to buy a chocolate bar and happens to be standing outside a retail store devoted to selling only chocolate bars. Entering the store, the potential purchaser sees a series of glass display cases, each with a particular distinct kind of chocolate bar - i.e. one display case contains several different brands and sizes of dark milk chocolate bars, another chocolate bars with almonds, and so on. Each brand of chocolate bar in each display case has an easily read document associated with it that describes the essential characteristics of that bar. Each descriptive document is identically formatted. Say that based on his/her review of that documentation they buy a dark chocolate bar, and then decide they also might want to buy a light milk chocolate bar. They go to the light milk chocolate bar display case and, now being familiar with the structure of the description documents, more quickly do their research and make a selection.
Today’s National Post (a daily Canadian national financial newspaper) quotes a recent statement made by David Dodge, the current Bank of Canada Governor, to the Institute of International Finance in Washington as follows: “Just as food companies are required to list all ingredients on their labels, so should issuers list the ‘ingredients of a security’. And just as food companies are required to provide that information in a sufficiently clear manner, so that people who can’t tolerate peanuts, for example, know that there are peanuts in a product, so should securities issuers be sufficiently clear.”
We agree with Dodge, and a large part of the rational for developing the website is centered on that philosophy.

StockResearchDD.com - Beta Test Results
October 12, 2007
We are happy to announce that the beta test of StockResearchDD.com has just been completed, and the results have been very encouraging. The beta test group compromised people from the Investment Advisor community, the financial industry, as well as experienced investors. To a person, the beta testers were enthusiastic about the website structure and its contents. We’d like to share with you some of their comments:
When asked: ‘What was the most influential factor or factors in helping you make up your mind to subscribe?’ one response was: ‘The amount of time I could save sing a central database, as well as the information being easily available and collated in a homogenous way.’
When asked at what level the website should be priced, one beta tester who works in and is particularly attuned to the Canadian Junior Mining Industry said: ‘A tough one. Probably $500 - $1,000 per year.’ Please note that StockResearchDD.com’s initial ‘Charter Member’ pricing is expected to be Cdn$19.95 per month.

More On The StockResearchDD.com Website
September 25, 2007
The over 250 companies whose data is embedded in the website are drawn from the approximate 1,750 Mining, Oil & Gas, Oil & Gas Service Companies and Oil & Gas Income Trusts that are listed for trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange and the Toronto Venture Exchange. They have market capitalizations that range from $50 million to $1.5 billion, and collectively operate in over 25 countries around the world. We believe they are companies that serious investors should consider investing in where such investors believe a portion of their wealth should be invested in speculative, high risk, but potential high return securities. The National Post, one of Canada’s national newspapers, today suggests under an article headed ‘First Rule of Investing - Know Yourself’ the following portfolio asset mixes (reported source: Ontario Securities Commission Investor Education):

Cash & Equivalents |

Reader comments as to whether they agree or disagree that Junior Mining and Oil & Gas stocks ought to be considered as part of a portfolio are welcomed - particularly in circumstances of prevailing U.S. dollar uncertainty, high oil prices, and the apparent ongoing escalation of world interest in gold as a safe haven investment.
